Tim is a graduate of Monash University and holds an Honours degree in Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. Tim was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1985 and has worked continuously as a lawyer since then. Tim is an Accredited Criminal Law specialist and has held this status since 1997.
Initially, his work was as a general lawyer but since 1995 he has worked almost exclusively in criminal law for a number of different firms in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Tim is an experienced advocate and on a typical day is to be found advocating for his clients in the Magistrates' or County court in relation to all types of criminal offences. He has been involved in the conduct of cases in all jurisdictions in this state.
For over fifteen years Tim participated in the duty lawyer schemes which serviced Ringwood, Box Hill and Lilydale courts. Tim has links with a number of rehabilitation agencies which assist offenders with drug,alcohol and mental illness problems and is therefore well equipped to represent many facing police charges.
Tim is admitted as a lawyer in the northern Territory and worked in criminal law in both Alice Springs and Darwin. In addition, Tim has been involved in the preparation of cases in New South Wales at both Local and higher court level.
Apart from criminal law matters, Tim has expertise in defending council prosecutions including offences under the Food Act and planning legislation and offences under Worksafe legislation.
Tim has been active as a soccer player for over thirty years and has represented many people from Melbourne's soccer community who have had the misfortune to be involved in the criminal justice system.
