Kali graduated Charles Darwin University with a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate) in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts/International Relations from Deakin University. Kali completed her Graduate of Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Laws.
Prior to joining Stary Norton Halphen, Kali worked as a Community Educator and Law Reform Lawyer at the St Kilda Community Legal Service, advocating for vulnerable people often left out of the formal legal process and ensuring they had the tools and support necessary to ensure that they could engage. Kali also ran projects around sex worker rights, family violence and police complaints.
Whilst completing her studies Kali worked as a law clerk for Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation, advocating for an indigenous clan in a historic land rights trial in East Arnhem Land.
Kali also has experience as a paralegal at both Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and Slater and Gordon Lawyers. She has also been a volunteer at Darwin Community Legal Centre, the Northern Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency, and the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service.
