Courtney holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Criminology, from the University of Melbourne.
Prior to commencing with Stary Norton Halphen, Courtney was an Associate of the Supreme Court of Victoria. She has also held roles as a researcher and assistant to criminal law barristers, and assistant at a family law firm.
Whilst studying, Courtney volunteered as a paralegal at the Fitzroy Legal Service and was involved with the Prison Legal Education and Assistance (PLEA) Project. She completed an internship with the family law division of Victoria Legal Aid as a part of her studies.
