Ben was admitted to practice in 2019 and joined Stary Norton Halphen in February 2021.
He has completed an Advanced Diploma of Justice and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University. Further, Ben also obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Prior to admission, Ben has completed placements with the Magistrates Court of Victoria, Australian Building and Construction Commission and has been employed as a Law Clerk in criminal law and VOCAT firms.
He is the founding member of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Network Victoria and is also a member of Liberty Victoria and Australian Lawyers for Human Rights.
Ben is an Executive Committee Member of the Law Institute Criminal Law Section, having been appointed in July 2021.
Ben has completed studies abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the topic of ‘International Human Rights Law’ and is also a volunteer facilitator with ‘Mr Perfect’, a mental health organisation which runs events with the aim to increase connection in the community. Ben also volunteers as a mentor for 'Seed Mentoring' providing mentoring to Monash University law students in their final year of law, transitioning to practice.
