Accused arsonist Phoenix Tims asks judge to vary his bail so he can jet off to Bali

The court heard about Mr. Tims, an electrical apprentice, who faces charges related to a fire at a panel shop that resulted in the deaths of two men. His defence lawyer, Nisha Patel, indicated that Mr Tims would withdraw his application to vary his bail conditions and confirmed he would admit to lighting the fire, although there is a dispute regarding his level of recklessness.
