Our partner, Sam Norton, was recently featured in The Age discussing the recent changes to bail laws in Victoria. It focused on the potential negative impact these changes could have on children in the justice system, emphasising how past reforms aimed to reduce the incarceration rates of youth, particularly Aboriginal children. Unfortunately, the current government proposals appear to reverse these gains by leaning toward stricter measures.
